Sienna Wings Celebrates One-Year Anniversary During Black Business Month
MISSOURI CITY, TX (August 20, 2024) – As Black Business Month shines a spotlight on Black entrepreneurs nationwide, Sienna Wings proudly celebrates its one-year anniversary, marking a year of remarkable growth and success. Founded by 19-year-old CEO Tyla-Simone Crayton, Sienna Wings has quickly become a local favorite, serving over 5,000 customers and selling more than 10,000 items, generating over $150,000 in sales.
From humble beginnings in their home kitchen, where Tyla-Simone and her mother Monique Crayton first started selling wings on Fridays, to opening their first brick-and-mortar restaurant, Sienna Wings has maintained a steadfast commitment to quality and community. Located in the Harvest Market food court in Missouri City, TX, Sienna Wings has become a vibrant part of the local dining scene, offering a menu that includes their signature Sienna Sauce, infamous mac & cheese, and seasoned fries.
“As we celebrate our first year in business, we’re reminded of the incredible support we’ve received from our community,” said Tyla-Simone Crayton. “It’s a full-circle moment for us to operate our restaurant in the same area that supported our sauce from the beginning. Black Business Month: A Time for Reflection and Celebration
August is Black Business Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Black entrepreneurs across the country. For Sienna Wings, this month holds special significance as the business reflects on its journey from a small home-based operation to a thriving restaurant.

Pepsi Dig In Day: National Recognition and Local Impact
Adding to the excitement of this milestone, Sienna Wings has been selected as one of the top 5 winners to participate in Pepsi’s Dig In Day Block Party in Chicago, taking place from August 23-25, 2024. This event celebrates and supports Black-owned restaurants across the nation, giving them a platform to shine on a national stage.
“We’re thrilled to represent Houston and our community at Pepsi’s Dig In Day,” said Tyla-Simone. “This is an incredible opportunity to showcase our brand on a larger scale, and we’re honored to be part of this initiative.”
In conjunction with the Dig In Day celebration, Sienna Wings is offering a special promotion in Houston on August 24, 2024. Customers who purchase a Sauce Boss Combo at the restaurant will receive a free bottle of Sienna Sauce, a token of appreciation for the continued support from the local community.
Additionally, Sienna Wings is participating in a scavenger hunt that runs from July 24 to August 24, with the grand prize being a free trip to Chicago for one lucky winner. Anniversary Event: A Celebration of Success and Giving Back
To mark this milestone, Sienna Wings will host a one-year anniversary celebration that also gives back to the community that has supported them from the start. In place of the initially planned vendor fair, Sienna Wings will partner with local organizations to host a toy drive for children in need. The toy drive will be held at the Harvest Market, and will include special promotions, giveaways, and opportunities for the community to contribute to a meaningful cause.
“We’re inviting everyone to join us in celebrating our first year of success,” said Tyla-Simone. “This event is not only about us; it’s about giving back to our community and supporting those who have supported us. We’re excited to partner with local organizations to make a positive impact.”
