WHAT:
This year during AfroTech 2025, BLD PWR invites community, creatives, and changemakers to The Living Room Experience, an intimate, immersive event centering storytelling, Black migration, wellness, and the intersection of tech and power. Anchored by actor and activist Kendrick Sampson, and featuring cultural leaders like Vic Mensa, Nana Gyamfi (BAJI), Kenya Parham (Spill App), Dr. Raquel Martin, and others. the LRE offers a soft space for radical reflection, grounded conversation, and collective healing.
Directly following is The Session R&B Jam, a vibe-forward afterparty featuring curated DJ sets and live performances, designed to continue the joy, connection, and community sparked in the Living Room. Both events are open to AfroTech attendees and the broader Houston community with RSVP.
