CHAKA KHAN

Strategy: In celebration of the Grammy Awards, Will.i.am hosted his annual benefit concert, TRANS4M. Chaka Khan was one of the headlining acts of the evening and expected to interview with over 50 national outlets. Gazelle Media Group acquired Chaka Khan as the PR representation of the evening. (Headliners included will.i.am, Chaka Khan, Sergio Mendez, Bell Biv DeVoe, Biz Markie, Doug E. Fresh, Scarface, Slick Rick, Cody Wise, Leah McFall and We Are The Future). Gazelle Media Groups main focus was to coordinate media coverage, organize red carpet interviews, and generate intense online presence for Chaka Khan and Chaka Khan Enterprises for Grammy Award weekend 2014.

Results: Chaka Khan successfully received Over 1,000,000 Impressions including, Billboard Magazine, LA Daily, Entertainment Tonight, Huffington Post, Tom Joyner and more. In addition, TRANS4M Concert benefitting the i.am.angel Foundation raised more than $2.5 million dollars last night, January 23, 2014. Concert proceeds benefit the i.am.angel Foundation mission to continue and accelerate TRANS4Mation in the Boyle Heights community of East Los Angeles, and the promotion and expansion of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) education around the world.
